TryInk is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. Shopify and certain other service providers may also act as independent controllers for specific processing they perform under their own privacy policies.

We provide the recipient’s name, delivery address and necessary contact information to the carrier responsible for delivering the order.

Analytics and advertising providers

Where enabled and permitted by your consent, limited website and device information may be provided to analytics or advertising providers.

The TryInk store is powered by Shopify.

Shopify processes personal data to provide and improve its ecommerce services. Certain Shopify features may involve Shopify acting as an independent data controller.

  1. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Some service providers, including Shopify, may process information outside the European Economic Area.

Where personal data is transferred to a country that does not have an adequacy decision, the transfer will rely on an appropriate legal safeguard, such as European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses, together with supplementary safeguards where required.

We retain personal data only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected and to meet legal obligations.

Typical retention periods include:

• order, invoice and core accounting records: at least 7 years, or 10 years where applicable tax or EU One Stop Shop rules require it;
• customer-account information: while the account remains active and for a reasonable period after closure where necessary for orders, legal obligations or disputes;
• customer-service, complaint and return correspondence: normally for up to 2 years after the matter is closed, unless it must be linked to longer-retained order records, a product-safety matter or a legal claim;
• marketing information: until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent, after which limited information may be retained to record and respect the opt-out;
• cookie and analytics information: according to the duration shown in the relevant cookie or consent tool; and
• product-safety and legal-claim information: for as long as reasonably necessary to meet applicable safety, reporting, limitation and defence obligations.

When personal data is no longer required, it will be deleted, anonymised or securely restricted.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the nature of the information and the risks involved.

These measures may include access controls, secure Shopify infrastructure, payment-provider protections and limiting access to personal data.

Shopify and payment providers may use automated systems to identify potentially fraudulent or high-risk transactions.

  1. CUSTOMERS UNDER 18

Customers under 18 should place orders only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

We do not knowingly rely on consent from a child under 16 for non-essential cookies, personalised advertising or marketing without valid parental authorisation where this is required.

A parent or guardian who believes that a child has provided personal data improperly may contact shop@tryink.nl to request review or deletion.

You will not be charged for a normal request. A reasonable fee may be charged, or a request may be refused, only where permitted by law, such as when a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.
